Explore our artisan selection of vegan brie, camembert, and soft rind cheeses. Luxuriously creamy, beautifully bloomy, and entirely plant-based. Crafted by skilled vegan cheesemakers using traditional culturing and ageing techniques, these cheeses offer the same indulgent, oozy experience as their dairy counterparts.
Vegan brie and camembert are plant-based alternatives to the classic French soft rind cheeses, crafted without any dairy. Made from bases such as cashews, macadamia nuts, or coconut cream, they are cultured, aged, and coated in a genuine bloomy white rind, delivering the same luxurious, oozy creaminess you’d expect from the originals.
Yes, and this is where the magic happens. The distinctive white, velvety rind on our artisan vegan soft cheeses is formed using Penicillium camemberti, the exact same mould culture used to make traditional dairy brie and camembert. It is entirely vegan, and it’s responsible for the earthy, mushroomy aroma and the characteristic bloomy crust that makes these cheeses so special.
Many of our vegan soft rind cheeses melt beautifully when warmed, making them perfect for baked camembert-style dishes. Simply score the top, add your favourite toppings — a drizzle of agave, fresh thyme, or crushed walnuts — and bake at 180°C for 12–15 minutes until gloriously gooey. Results can vary slightly by maker and base ingredient, so check individual product notes for best baking guidance.
Serve on a cheeseboard alongside crusty sourdough, seeded crackers, fresh grapes, fig jam, and candied walnuts. Pair with a crisp Champagne, light Pinot Noir, or a dry sparkling cider.
Keep your vegan brie or camembert refrigerated and wrapped in its original packaging or wax paper to allow the rind to breathe. Avoid cling film, which can suffocate the living cultures on the rind. Consume within the date shown on the packaging; like all living cheeses, these are best enjoyed fresh.
Many of our vegan soft rind cheeses are made from a cashew or macadamia nut base, so they are not suitable for those with tree nut allergies. Please check the individual product pages for full allergen information before purchasing.
