Description

Seggiano's Wild Fennel Tomato Pesto is a uniquely Sicilian creation, drawing on the naturally abundant wild fennel that grows across the Monti Iblei region of Ragusa in south-eastern Sicily. The aromatic fennel leaf is combined with sun-dried tomatoes, ripe tomato salsa, and locally sourced Avola almonds to produce a pesto that is lively, fragrant, and rich with Mediterranean sunshine. A whisper of chilli and oregano brings warmth and depth to the finished paste.

The brand draws its producers from small family operations across Italy, with each recipe rooted firmly in regional tradition. This pesto is made entirely from Sicilian ingredients, and the result is a genuinely authentic flavour of the island rather than a loose interpretation of it.

Wonderfully versatile, it works as a pasta sauce, stirred through couscous or grains, or served as a dip alongside warm flatbreads. It is equally at home spooned over roasted vegetables or used as a flavourful base for a tomato-forward stew. Vegan and gluten free, it suits a wide range of diets without compromising on bold, complex flavour.
